zalea Park is a community in renaissance..
Secluded and canyon-laced, we are located on top of a plateau 3 miles east of San Diego Bay. We enjoy the world's best climate avoiding the overcast conditions along the coast and the extreme heat of the inland areas.

Many new lesbian and gay residents, young married couples, families, and single "first time" homeowners have added to the diversity of our neighborhood. There are still some "fixer-uppers" for the bargain shoppers. But you better move quickly. Real estate in Azalea Park is frequently sold within days of going on the market. Rentals fill just as quickly.

Many residents have been in the community for 50 years or more. A large percentage of the homes in Azalea Park are owner occupied. New arrivals have significantly improved both the physical appearance and the community spirit here.

We have a tradition of strong community involvement. In addition to the neighborhood parties, we regularly join together for canyon clean-ups, neighborhood paint-outs, toy drives and other community related activities. Azalea Park has one of the largest and most active neighborhood associations in San Diego.

A new shopping center just opened within walking distance of Azalea Park. It includes Albertson's, Starbucks, Washington Mutual, Subway, Denny's, McDonalds, Papa John's Pizza, Kragen Auto, Blockbuster Video and other businesses. Just ½ mile away you will find a newly completed police substation, library, community room, swimming pool, gymnasium, and City College Extension.

Azalea Park is just minutes from downtown San Diego and convenient to Highway 15, 805 and 94. Mission Valley shopping is 15 minutes away. The "13" bus line down Poplar street to connect you with the trolley and other public transit lines.
